About Me
Hello, and thank you for taking a look around my little world of creativity!
I am a wedding stationery designer and artist, currently living in Cumbrian with my husband and our three dogs, Rufus, Winnie & Percy. Having grown up on a farm I have always taken a huge inspiration from my rural surroundings and
love to add a little nod to the countryside in many of my illustrations.
I gained a degree in Rural Enterprise & Land Management from Harper Adams University in 2013 (it's been put to good use as you can see!). Although it was my intention to pursue a career in land management, in November 2013 I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to undertake an 11 month internship with traditional oil painter James Gillick.

It was within this 11 month period that I realised I could make a career from my hobby, so with the support of my family I plucked up the courage to start up my own business. I started out by taking on pet commissions, building up a portfolio of oil paintings and designing greetings cards from my parent's kitchen. Over the years I also built up a successful homeware collection, consisting of fine bone china, fabric products, placemats and lots more.
In 2023, after meeting my now husband I moved up to highlands of Scotland, which prompted me to re-evaluate my business structure. I made the tough decision to stop the homeware side of things in order to concentrate more on wedding stationery (& other bespoke products), oil paintings and my extremely popular personalised children's placemats.

February 2024 saw another big move for me and my partner, as we took the plunge to head further south to be closer to family. Cumbria is now where you will find me, busy in my home studio creating lovely illustrations for all my amazing clients.
If you would like more information on anything you have seen on my website or would like to chat about a project, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks so much for visiting,
Sophie x
